NSW:Police shooter's jail increased
A man who shot a NSW police officer during a botched hotel robbery in Sydney has had
his minimum jail term increased by three years.
41-year-old TEVI KOLOAMATANGI was jailed for at least 11 years in the NSW District
court earlier this year after being convicted of a string of offences, including shooting
at Sergeant STEPHEN DE LORENZO with intent to murder.
Today, the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal has ruled the sentence was manifestly inadequate
and has resentenced KOLOMANTANGI to a minimum of 14 years in jail.
