Fed: Man rescued after being swept off rocks
CANBERRA, Aug 24 AAP - A man swept off rocks near Moruya on the NSW south coast wasrescued by a helicopter uninjured this afternoon.
The man, aged in his early 20s, was rescued by the Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicoptercrew after being swept off rocks about 5km south of Moruya.
Ambulance crews had tried to help the man but were unable to reach him, given the roughseas, and called in the helicopter from Canberra.
"He was rescued, safe and sound," an ambulance spokesman said.
He was found sitting on rocks by paramedics who winched him onto dry land, he said.
"He had no injuries," he said.
